Weekly Theme Recognition – Week 8

10 Flares 10 Flares ×

:: Google+ PAC Community Weekly Theme, “Patriotic” Recognition ::

There were several great submissions for the Google+ PAC Community “Patriotic” weekly theme challenge; however, none of the submissions complied with the rule that Google+ weekly theme submissions must be shot during the week the theme is running

BUT . . . on the bright side:   it’s a new week!

Which means a FUN new weekly Google+ theme:  The Look of Music!

www.myhdwallpapers.net

So, go out and shoot THIS WEEK, and let’s see those images that say “Music” to you! Include your settings, camera/lens … and remember that posting a little back story makes an image even more interesting!

Do your best to make the judges’ job difficult! ;-)

:: Facebook PAC Group  – Creative Theme “Statues: Presidents & Historical Figures” Recognition ::

So many amazing submissions for our “Statues” theme this last week!  Of all those images of statues, our judges selected Susan Weber’s photo for last week’s Creative Theme Recognition!  Congratulations!!

Susan took this picture of a statue at the Korean War Veterans Memorial  in Washington D.C.. We especially love the depth-of-field and tight crop you achieved with this image!

Susan lives in Little Ferry, New Jersey.  She is an active poster in PAC’s Facebook group!  She posted several statue photos for our theme last week, and we loved them all – but this one was our favorite.

Congratulations again, Susan Weber, on your PAC Facebook Group Theme Recognition!  We really appreciate your participation in PAC, and we look forward to seeing more of your posts!

:: Facebook PAC Group  – Technical Theme “Dynamic Tension” Recognition ::

Our highlighted photo for last week’s Facebook Group Technical Theme, “Dynamic Tension” comes from Valerie Cullen-Stein! Congratulations, Valerie!  This was a challenging theme, but we think you nailed it. :)

Valerie took this very cool picture of a stairwell at the Glencairn Mansion, located in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania.  What a great example of Dynamic Tension – nice job, Valerie!

Valerie is a former Arizona resident, who now resides in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.  Valerie is a very active member of our PAC Facebook group! We truly appreciate all of her posts, comments and her graciousness!

Congratulations, again, Valerie, on your PAC Community Recognition!  We love your photos  … keep ‘em coming!
